MyMug Malaysia is famous for its ceramic and glasswares and is fast gaining a reputation for tableware and bakeware. Tablewares and bakewares are practical, durable and extremely good looking. Porcelainware- Similar in strength to stoneware, porcelain has a more translucent body and is naturally a blue-grey white. Its glossiness allows the body colour of white appears pristine. When enhance with patterns and gold rim, it has been a collectors’ items for centuries.

Stoneware- Stoneware clay is very strong. It is fully vitrified(the surface is made glassy and non-porous) which gives it strength, durability and chip resistance. Coloured wares tend to use stoneware which makes its products very colourful and versatile. Similar in strength to stoneware, porcelain has a more translucent body and is naturally a blue-grey white. Bone Chinaware- Bone China has all the elegance of china with all the long-lasting toughness of. It is elegant and refined but also tough, useable and chip-resistant. It has a body colour of light creamy and they are translucent. Due to the strength of the material, the wares are usually very thin and light which makes them a pleasure to own. Although Bone Chinaware by MyMug Malaysia are made from synthethic raw material without any animal bones, it has all the characteristics of the highest grade natural bone china minus the high prices.

General Care- All pottery and ceramic wares can crack if exposed to sudden changes in temperature, no matter on the oven or microwave, or expose to direct heat sources such as the hob or grill. Pieces must not be dropped or struck against hard or sharp surfaces, or struck with hard or sharp object.

Dishwashers- We recommend hand washing but if you prefer to use dishwashers, please use low temperature and liquid detergents for all our tablewares and glasswares as constant dishwashing may result in discoloration of some products. When washing by hand avoid the use of scouring pads or abrasive cleansers. Clean with a soft cloth. • Most stains can be removed by soaking the item in warm water before washing. Very stubborn stains can be removed by soaking in a mild bleach solution for up to one hour.

Microwave Ovens– Ceramic tablewares can be used in a microwave oven safely, if there is no precious metal decoration. If tablewares that has gold, silver or platinum edge decoration they could be damaged by microwave oven. Care should, however, be taken when re-heating frozen food. No matter how strong the tableware, sudden changes of temperature (e.g. taking from the freezer and placing directly into a hot oven) are likely to cause thermal-shock will damage the ware.

Storing- Even the hardest surfaces can be scratched: This can happen to all ceramic goods including your products. So please take care when stacking and handling your ceramic wares as scratches can be more visible on coloured glazes. When storing plates, try not to slide them over one another, as this may cause scratches on the glaze. The surface used on tableware is hard, however the front of one plate can be scratched by the back of another, so care should be taken when stacking. We recommend that a paper napkin be placed between each plate. Cups should be stored or hung from a cup hook, not stacked, as this weakens the handles.
